Pathways to Desistance
This project involves a longitudinal study of serious juvenile offenders and attempts to identify predictors of desistance.
Along with Ed Mulvey at Pittsburgh and Larry Steinberg at Temple and George Knight and Sandy Losoya at ASU, I am working on a longitudinal study of serious juvenile offenders, attempting to identify predictors of desistance. We are following 1200 adolescents in Arizona and Pennsylvania for a four year period. The data are intended to inform the policy debate about interventions and sanctions for serious juvenile offenders.
